Current European research shows that a flexible approach to learning is favoured by a growing number of students who need to fit working life within the framework of learning new skills; in addition, older members of the workforce wish to engage in life long learning. For many people full-time attendance at a local training organisation is problematic due to disability, geographical location or working patterns. The aim of the project is to develop Educational Podcasting (audio/media broadcasting over the internet) to enable these learners to gain knowledge through part-time attendance whilst maintaining the personal support of a tutor.

The six partners, from Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Poland and the UK have met regularly over the life of the project to develop the product, evaluate activities, plan tasks and resolve issues. In the second year of the project, trainees have also been involved in these meetings to ensure the successful piloting of the project. Effective communication between meetings has be ensured via e-mail, video conferencing, on-line meetings and a project blog.

The majority of the podcasts that are presented in this blog, have been developed by the students of the project which have enhanced their technological together with their cultural skills.

Student from Greece

Hello to everyone!!
Dzień dobry!
Labdien!
Bună ziua!
Ciao!
ΓΕΙΑ ΣΑΣ ΦΙΛΟΙ!

My name is Alexandros and i am a student from Greece! I study international and european relations and i am on my third year of studies ...

Well, to be honest podcasting unfortunately is not something that is very spread in our universities .. However as you know internet give us so much oportunities !!! So the last year i became very familiar with podcasting with a blog that i created with my brother and some friends ..

So when i heard about this programm and the blog that it was supposed to be made i was very excited!! Some months ago i designed this blog as a tool of communication and organization and i hope you like it...However if you have proposes for improvement i would be very glad to hear them!!!

What does podcasting means to you ?? For me means picture, video , voice , music, comunication , means a wonderful tool that the technology gave us and we have to valorise it !!

The first meeting as you know will be in Athens and we will be more than happy to have you here!

Until then we decided except from the magical nights in greece, the monuments, the food and all the famous staff , to show you via podcasting how a normal day in Greece is!!!

So Ewa and Kasia , Steven, Scott, Chris and Dale expect to see you in June!! Until then i hope you have great time and we'' ll keep in touch through this blog!!

Below there is a photo of me in a dance mood ...If i had a photo with acropolis behind ,eating a mousaka and and listening to zorba the greek music i would put it but Greece or Hellas as we prefer to call it, is so much more than this :)
